Hampton Roads Young Democrats Membership
Joining is easy.
If you’re a Young Democrat between the ages of 13 - 35 and reside in Chesapeake, Hampton, Isle of Wight, James City, Newport News, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, or Williamsburg, then HRYD is the organization for you! Whether you’re in high school, college, or simply a Young Dem looking to get politically engaged, Hampton Roads Young Democrats can provide you with a variety of benefits. From professional networking to volunteering, there are lots of opportunities available with Hampton Roads Young Dems.
How it works:
Determine Your Eligibility
Are you between the ages of 13 - 35 and reside in Chesapeake, Hampton, Isle of Wight, James City, Newport News, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, or Williamsburg? If so, you’re eligible!
Fill Out Our Membership Form
Our short membership form takes a couple of minutes to complete and provides us with important information to get your membership started!
Attend Our Next Meeting
Our meetings are the second Monday of each month at 7:00 PM via Zoom. You will receive the Zoom link and more information about each meeting in your email! Can’t make one of our meetings? Come to one of our in person membership events throughout the Hampton Roads Region!
Get Voted In & Pay Dues
During our next meeting, the membership will vote you in (a formality). Then, you can pay your $10 dues online for your convenience.

Once you’ve been voted in and paid your dues, you can start enjoying all that an HRYD membership has to offer. From monthly meetings to conferences and special events, there’s lots of benefits to joining HRYD.
